A map of all escape rooms in Australia and an online puzzle hunt from Escape Games Review x Esc Room Addict

I wasn’t sure if there was an existing google map of all the escape room places in Australia – so decided to create the one below.

There’s a total of 23 escape rooms that I could find so far and there’s probably a few places that I haven’t heard of just yet. Here’s the breakdown: 5 escape rooms in Queensland, 8 escape rooms in Sydney, another 8 places in Melbourne and only 2 escape rooms over in Perth.

Quite surprised I couldn’t find any places in Canberra – I’m sure it’s a great place to setup an escape room plus it’s the capital of Australia (what more of a reason do you need?). Surely someone is already hatching a plan to setup an escape room there. There’s also no escape rooms at the moment in Tasmania, Northern Territory or South Australia yet.

Currently the Escape Hunt franchise has the largest number of room escapes operating in Australia along with franchises belonging to Escape Room International, Parapark and Paniq Room Entertainment and the rest are mostly made up of independent escape room operators.

It seems there is still lots of room for other escape room operators to start their own business and help bring some more competition to the Australian market along with lower prices. If you’ve heard of a room escape place in these areas (TAS, NT, SA), get in touch by leaving a comment below or sending an email!

If you have heaps of spare time over the next two weeks – check out the online puzzle hunt that Escape Games Review and Esc Room Addicts have created at: http://myneighborerrol.com/puzzlehunt/. Prizes include a variety of free room escape passes to places in the Toronto area and can only be won by people living there. Otherwise it’s still a great chance to test all those escape room skills and learn some new online puzzle hunt skills as well.

TL,DR: Couldn’t find any new room escape discounts on Facebook, so skipping it this week. Have a escape room map of Australia instead. 🙂 Plus check out this puzzle hunt.

Essa 🙂

    Hey Essa

There is also Room Escape (aka Escape Club) at Kingsford to add to your map:

Adelaide’s first real-life escape room has opened – Adventure Rooms.

    Level 1 51-53 Rundle Mall.

Has 2 games (the Mad Scientist, and the Black Queen).

    Is simply amazing!

Hopefully there will be more branches of Adventure Rooms around the country one day soon! Essa 🙂

We’re late to the party, given that this post is more than a year old, but we want in too – Next Level Escape is opening up next month in Sydney! 🙂 http://nextlevelescape.com
