The global party celebrating ghosts, witches and other creepy things that live in the dark are coming out to party early with us this year. In celebration of Halloween, Intervirals decided to put together the event Fright Month 2014 – each weekend during the month of October a new blog post will be dedicated to all the super spooky pre-Halloween and Halloween room escape events that are appearing.
To start us off, Malaysia’s 1st Halloween Escape is starting this weekend from Sunday October 4th within the Wet World theme park, at Shah Alam, Malaysia. Just looking at their promotion poster is enough to make anyone frightened of going – how creepy is their Haunted House attraction going to be? There will also be mini escape games available to be played at night as the event will be held until midnight each weekend. Along with this is a spooky themed water show – a 3D floating ghost which will act as host of the show too. Hopefully a review of the experience will be up soon by Escman League, a group of escape game reviewers in Malaysia that we were recently in contact with.
Behind the event are again the team at Escape@Room Malaysia, which also organised the recent Escape Run 2014 – a major puzzle event. Malaysia’s 1st Halloween Escape runs every weekend of October from the 4th to the 31st, with early bird tickets costing RM28 – otherwise tickets cost RM38 per person and are available at all Escape Room Outlets in Malaysia.

A last mention goes to Lazarus IRL Shooter – participants act as soldiers with realistic combat gear and enter into a real life horror experience fighting zombies in Melbourne, Australia. They are also having their opening this weekend as well from the 3rd of October.
